snail mail...

a couple of weeks ago i was reading a post on one of my favorite websites.  http://www.shuttersisters.com/

the post was in reference to "snail mail"...and the feeling you experience when receiving a letter. 

i miss that.

 

good old fashion letter writing...the ones you receive from a postman rather than in a computer "in box".

when i was in grade school i had many many many many pen pals. 

i stumbled across the hundred postcard project at http://hundredpostcards.wordpress.com/

there i met mika from http://mikaito.sqaurespace.com/ and signed up to receive one of her handcrafted postcards....and i in turn am exchanging one with her.

it is a wonderful creative way to touch another's life and share our gifts.

today...i received her handcrafted postcard in the mail.

i am looking forward to sharing my gift with her as she has done so generously with me.

when is the last time you received a handmade postcard...or just a letter for that matter?
