old photos, playing...and a project.

i think i am working on a project.
i'm not quite sure yet what it is...but maybe...just maybe it might be a
bliss book.
for those of you who have been around for the past 3+ years...
you know me by my bliss e-mails.
you know...the ones i used to send out on a near daily basis with photos and words of inspiration.
the ones i stopped sending out because i wasn't FEELing it any more because of life circumstances.
i so did not want to send something out that i wasn't FEELing mySelf.
i made the decision it would have been
an untruth to send them.
so i stopped.
~*~
anyway....
in the past couple of days something VERY exciting happened.
i was contacted by a feng shui artist/decorator asking for some of my images she had seen and was interested in using.
so...i had to dig DEEP DEEP into my photo archieves to find them.
in the end...she was unable to use them for sizing reasons.
but...WHAT AN EXCELLENT LEARNING PROCESS it has been...and i am so grateful someone wished to use them....whether she could or couldn't...the EXPERIENCE was part of the journey.
~*~
but...wow!
i found some fabulous photos i wanted to share with YOU.
they have been patiently waiting to be seen.
and
i
started
playing with them.
~*~
this one i am going to send out as a postcard to a pen pal.
(more on that in another post)
kind of 1960's ish
~*~
and this one....
mmmmmmm....i love the tones.
~*~
and...
i don't know why i like this....
but
i
just
do.

as i am going thru the photos...i am thinking...i would like to have a small little book of them with words to look at.
something pretty to pick up and look thru
when i need to remember
beauty and the journey i am on.

10 summer photos....#3.

assignment....what is in your fruit basket?
raspberries....

i love to use vintage glassware to hold fruit.
especially colored glass.
 i love raspberries.
my grandmother grew them in her garden on her farm.
we picked buckets full
in the
summer.
the color of the raspberries look so pretty in this green bowl.
and...i LoVe how it looks sitting on my outdoor glass table
this morning on the deck.
mmmm....breakfast.
what is in your fruit bowl?
i would love to see.

at the gate....post time

as i spoke of in a previous post....canterbury park has been providing me with a visual playground ~*~***~~

at the gate....post time...

i love the gate.  it involks a feeling of excitement, nervousness, nostalgia, history, fascination and so much more.

the arches on the gates are splendid....so much history behind horseracing....

waiting for the horses as they approach....

loading the gate....
i wonder what conversation goes on between the jockeys during this time?
do they "shop talk"?

are they nervous?
are they excited?
are they concentrating?
hmmmmm...what about the horses?
are they having their own experience also????

on occasion they do not like to enter the gate....and they need a little assistance...

note:  when the horses/jockeys are loading the gates one at a time....the color combinations are fabulous....the decorator in me is jumping for joy :) and my eye is so happy ~*~*~*~*~~

last one in....

waiting for the bell....

shades of evergreen...

I love the simple beauty of evergreen boughs...

the scent is heavenly this time of year....

i can become lost in the needles...the colors are so beautiful.

and can we talk about the bark?
beauty is found in simple pleasures.
may you sit in silence long enough to notice.
deep peace,
pamela
