picture fall...day 25.

i am a bit out of order with my picture fall posts.
but who says
time
is
linear.
certainly not
me.

today's prompt...
FALL COLOR
lately i have been noticing the color of the sky.
the shade/tone of blue definately says
autumn.
i wish i could wear the color.

i was loving these "mini" cornstalks at the entrance to the massive pumpkin patch i stumbled across a couple of days ago.

~*~

i played around and really liked the vintage/country feel of the sepia tones also.

day 214...365 project.

craziness...

the bugs made me smile and think chaos...perhaps organized chaos for them.
1st day of school for my children.
my oldest is a junior and my baby started high school.
perhaps we will have a bit of organized chaos for the next couple of days until they settle in to a structured schedule again.

day 213...project 365.

prairie...

~*~
i have been house~sitting for 4 nights and 5 days
in the
prairie...

~*~
isolated for the first 2 days...
then
my 2 dear friends decided to join me in my peaceful prairie.

~*~
the prairie
is
beautiful
quiet
and the
stars
at night
are
amazing.

but when i reached the minneapolis metro...
i could have stopped
the car
and
kissed the 3-lane
pavement.

very happy to be
home
after a nearly
2 1/2 week
gypsee
adventure.

did i mention one important note???
i
love
the big
city!

church....

i went for a walk on sunday morning.....most people go to church....i do too....mine is in nature rather than in a building.....and usually i have my camera in hand to capture what brings a feeling of beauty, gratitude and joy in my~lovely~self....and often times i can often find a simple story or message in my experience...
my neighbor children have been busy over the last several months building this "rock castle".  it is tucked away behind some trees...i love looking for it when i start out on my walk....wondering if they have added to it again.  FINALLY i am photographing it.  it has grown ever so slowly....a very nice "zen castle".  i love stacked rocks and could sit forever looking at the colors, sizes and textures of the rocks....but i would imagine they would wonder why the new neighbor lady is sitting on the sidewalk staring at their yard and rock castle.  thank you neighbor children....for unknowingly offering someone something to look forward to on any given day....it puts a smile on my face everytime i see it.

this is where i sat in church today....i wrote about dandelions in a previous post....it was the perfect seat....on a hill over looking this....

mmmm....it was a windy day and the wind had much to say....i just sat in silence and listened....noticing how peaceful and calming the scenery was....and on occasion i would ponder....oh look...there is a crabapple tree blooming...if the wind was blowing in the other direction i could catch the scent....i love the scent of crabapples in the spring...and where are those geese i saw earlier swimming around...and the cattails are waving in the wind...i wonder if when they grow in if the old brown ones are still visible behind the waves upon waves of green...and i wonder if the algae starts to smell in the dead of summer....and wow this is a perfect place to be on a sunday spring morning...then i realized....

i live in the country again....
